5/23/2023 0 Comments Ashley jade cruel prince![]() ![]() This book is similar but perhaps not quite as good as first books in above series. I’m always on the lookout for a bully type romance book with a darker theme, like “Fear Me” (series) by BB Reid and “Bully” by Penelope Ward and the summary of this one was similar. Even though this book is written about high school students, there are a lot of mature themes and profanity that might not be appropriate for a younger reader. Oakley, the step-cousin, and Cole, Jace’s brother, will make you laugh and you will end up loving them. ![]() You will love her feisty best friend, Sawyer, who will stand up for her friends. The secondary characters are written in as well. It takes a while before the reader discovers the reason for such hatred, and when you find out you’re heartbroken for the two of them. Dylan was Jace’s best friend until tragedy strikes and she returns to see him four years later to a different boy who cannot stand to look at her without such hatred. ![]() He had to grow up and take responsibility for his siblings at such a young age. You wanted to hate Jace, but you also ached for him. ![]() It was funny, yet heartbreaking at the same time. This story was so hard to listen to at times. She did an excellent job! As always, Teddy Hamilton hit it out of the park, too. I’m also new to Lila Winters as a narrator.
